Roads

One of the most time consuming tasks when creating a 3D city scene is making roads.

However, CityGen3D can be used to generate a large network of roads based on real world map data, all at the click of a button.

The unique way in which roads are generated means it's capable of building complex intersections, junctions and roundabouts without the need for custom mesh creation from the user.

It can also handle multi-lane highways, as well as slip roads to join and leave the motorway.

The end result is an organic looking road network that's diverse and fun to explore.

Sidewalks can be textured based on surface type.

You are also able to specify road decals for different road types to easily reflect localised differences in lane markings.

Road markings can also be applied to gaps in between roads, and you can even automatically extrude guard rails, or clone any other prefabs you may have such as traffic cones.
